Marine and Tropical Biology

The School of Marine and Tropical Biology has an enviable international reputation in teaching, research and research training.

Northern Queensland, with its immense biodiversity in marine and terrestrial environments, is one of the best places in the world to study whole organism biology and ecology.

Students and researchers learn from world-leading researchers, including one Federation Fellow and one ARC Professorial Fellow, and enjoy outstanding facilities including island and rainforest research stations. The School has approximately 300 postgraduate students.
