Description
These birds are usually seen in pairs in open timbered country. Size range is from 27-31 cm long. Both sexes have a pale yellow head and the body is predominately blue and green with splashes of black and yellow particularly on the back, there is a bright red splash on the tail. Legs and feet are grey, the eye has a dark brown iris and the bill is greyish.
