Description
This bird is most likely to be observed towards Mt Stuart behind the Townsville campus. A heavy looking bird, it ranges in size from 55 cm long to 61 cm long with the male being smaller than the female, wings are flat when soaring. Body is blue-grey above and underparts buff-coloured with grey bars, head and nape are black. Legs and feet are yellow, eyes with brown iris and yellow orbits, bill dark grey with black tip.
