Description
The sexes in this species are quite distinctive although both are basically olive-green; the male has a black head with red facial skin, the tail is black and white. The female is olive-brown, with paler underparts, which are streaked with brown. A number of colour morphs occur throughout its distribution. Legs and feet red to grey, eyes brown, bill dark.
