Description
Hosts plants for the larvae are species of palms, family Arecaceae. Mature larvae distinguished by orange patches near the mandibles, body variable in colour from yellowish to pinkish or purplish-green becoming purplish-blue. Adults brownish-black with extensive orange-yellow markings, distinct spot near base on lower side of wings.
