Description
The black flying fox is a noisy animal who gives the impression of being confident. Colonial roosts in large camps often in mangroves and may be heard at night or seen flying at dusk or when returning to camp. Body is black but belly may be grey, reddish patch on back of head and on neck, fur absent on lower legs.
