Description
A tall shrub, specimens can be found at the entrance to DA1,and near the bridge to the Library. In Cairns this species has been planted in various locations. The large glossy green leaves are borne opposite one another. The star-shaped flowers have 5 white to cream petals, those on the female plant tend to be more strongly perfumed than the male flowers. The fruits are large, often at least 10 cm in diameter, greenish-yellow when ripe.
