Description
This palm, originally from tropical Asia, has clustered, slender stems and grows to about 7 m tall, stilt roots may be present. Leaves are pinnate to 2 m long petioles up to 3 m long; pinnae are truncate, toothed at the apex. Flowers green; fruit vary from brown to orange-red and are up to 2.5 cm long.
