Description
This South American species form a spreading shrub, usually to about 3 m tall but may be higher depending on conditions. The compound leaves have 5-10 pairs of glossy green leaflets. Flowers are clustered to form a head, stamens, pink to red and about 3 cm long. The fruit is an explosively dehiscent pod. Nectar feeding birds such as honeyeaters are frequent visitors.
