Densely tufted perennial, stems to 180 cm long, 3-angled. Leaf sheath purplish at base, leaf blade absent. Involucral bracts 10-22 cm long, up to 2 cm wide, longer than the inflorescence. 10-15 spikes clustered at end of each of the 5-25 rays, style 3-fid. |
