Position Statement
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and enthusiastic person, interested in working in a dynamic team environment at the Mount Isa Centre for Rural and Remote Health. The appointee will be a team player with initiative and the ability to prioritise their workload and have a strong commitment to providing effective administrative support to research activities undertaken within the Centre.
Duties and Accountabilities
This position will provide a range of information, advice and administrative support to the Centre. Key areas of responsibility include:

PA to Director of Research and Development;

Administration support to the Primary Health Care Research Evaluation and Development Program (PHCRED);

Administration support to the Mount Isa Safe Community Coordinator;

General administration support to the Research Unit;
-
When required additional administration duties to support the broader goals of the Centre.
Key Selection Criteria
- 1.
Year 12 with at least 2 years subsequent experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience;
- 2.
Display telephone and counter etiquette;
- 3.
Team player qualities;
- 4.
Display competency in Microsoft Office applications;
- 5.
Have an understanding of basic bookkeeping;
- 6.
Work with general supervision;
- 7.
Commitment to efficiency, effectiveness and a service orientation.
Desirable Selection Criteria
- 1.
Some knowledge of research processes would be useful.
