Role of Librarian

The Faculty Librarian works with staff and students to provide optimum library service for the Faculty of Law, Business & Creative Arts. Specifically, I am the Liaison Librarian for the Schools of Law and Business.

Particular responsibilities include:

• Acting as a focus for contact and enquiries from staff and students within the Schools

• Providing library and information skills education

• Collection development including maintenance of a collection of subject related network resources accessible via the World Wide Web

• Identifying courses, trends, and areas of concern within the Faculty which may have implications for library planning

• Providing suitable induction for new staff and students.
