Role
As the Faculty Librarian I work with staff and students to provide optimum library service for the Faculty of Arts, Education and Social Sciences. Specifically I am also the Liaison Librarian for the School of Education and the Department of Anthropology, Archaeology and Sociology and the Department of Humanities. Particular responsibilities include:

Acting as a focus for contact and enquiries from staff and students within the Schools

Working with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Library Liaison Officer, Leta Lenoy, to provide support for students and staff in the School of Indigenous Australian Studies

Providing library and information skills education

Collection development including maintenance of a collection of subject related network resources accessible via the World Wide Web

Identifying new courses, trends, and areas of concern within the Faculty which may have implications for library planning

Providing suitable induction for new staff and students.
