SMS for JCU Library Notices

Would you like to receive your library notices via SMS?

If you register for this service you will receive SMS messages for:

• Recalls

• Items being held for you

• Overdues

• Preoverdues

To register visit Staff Online or StudentsOnline.

1. Click Library Information and select the SMS option

2. Follow the instructions which include updating your personal details via eStudent or Staff Online to include your mobile number.

Registration will take effect after 24 hours.

Further Requirements

In order to receive SMS messages you must ensure that :

• Your contact details have been correctly registered via StudentsOnline or StaffOnline

• Your phone is switched on and able to receive SMS messages and

• You are located within the coverage area of your mobile phone service provider.

In order to receive SMS messages outside the country in which your phone is registered you must ensure that your mobile phone is activated for global roaming and that your mobile carrier has a global roaming agreement in place at your location.

The Library does not charge for the SMS, however, check with your mobile phone service provider to see what, if any, conditions and charges the provider may apply.
